Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, the incumbent will be responsible for executing day to day activities of accounts payable function in order to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Key Performance Areas:
- Performs timely supplier payments within the set credit agreed payment periods
- Ensures compliance with finance controls and processes by verifying and reconciling invoices in a timely and efficient manner
- Assists with ensuring compliance with tax policies and regulations (VAT, WHT, BOCRA regulatory invoices, and other Taxes) and process accurate payments for applicable taxes to BURS
- Attend to and resolve queries raised by suppliers with regard to payments and accounts
- Effectively manage stakeholder relationships.

Academic Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have attained the following:
- AAT, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
- Two (2) years post-graduate experience within an accounting or finance function
- Basic knowledge in accounting
- Full membership of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA)
