Main Purpose of the Job:

A role exists within UPICtv for a dynamic and proactive individual with good technical skills. The candidate will be responsible for management, maintenance, and optimization of the technical infrastructure that supports a video streaming. This role involves overseeing the hardware, software, and network components to ensure seamless content delivery, system performance, and overall platform reliability

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a reengineering and upgrade strategy for the VOD platform aligned with short-term and long-term marketing and service commercial targets/trends.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the reengineering efforts meet business goals and enhance overall platform performance.

• Ensure a consistent and user-friendly interface across all platforms to enhance the user experience.

• Plan and execute periodic upgrades for the VOD platform and its mobile applications, incorporating new features, security patches, and performance improvements.

• Provide ongoing support for the platform and applications, collaborating closely with the content and marketing teams.

• Address and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring end-to-end functionality and a seamless user experience.

• Collaborate with Content Delivery Network (CDN) providers to plan and deploy CDN solutions for efficient content delivery.

• Work closely with content and marketing teams to align technical strategies with content distribution and promotional efforts.

• Implement changes and updates to improve the overall user experience, considering feedback, analytics, and industry best practices.

• Conduct usability testing to ensure that the platform meets user expectations and usability standards.

• Implement monitoring tools to track platform and application performance.

• Utilize analytics to gain insights into user behavior, platform usage, and performance metrics.

• Implement and maintain security measures to protect the platform and applications from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

• Maintain thorough documentation for platform configurations, upgrades, and troubleshooting procedures.

Academic Qualifications and Experience

The candidates should have attained the following:

• A degree in areas of Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Technology or a related field is required.

• Training in graphic design, UI design will be an added advantage

• At least two years’ experience in a similar role.

• A demonstrable practical experience will be required.
